Tom Olsen is an Alberta alt-country singer songwriter who has been active in the Alberta music scene for many years. He formed “The Wreckage” in 2014 and the adjacent “Hired Hands” in 2025.

Tom has played some of the province’s top music venues, including the Ironwood, Mikey’s Juke Joint, The Blues Can, Cook County Saloon, The Almanac, Newcastle Pub, Black Dog, The Blue Chair, Powderhorn Saloon, Palomino, and the Southern Alberta Musical Festival. He has shared bills with luminaries including Ian Tyson and Northern Pikes.

The Wreckage features top-end musicians who have long been active in the local music scene, giving them a unique, rooted-in-Alberta sound.

Tom released his first album, "Subtle as a Hurricane", and followed up with his second album, "Love and Misery”.

Music from these releases entered radio play on CKUA and CBC. He plans to go back into the studio to record more of his songs.
